I’m building one. I’m not done yet, but since YOU are the most important person, I want to get the draft in your hands.
I’ve got the first two chapters ready for you. Here’s what they cover:
In chapter 1, I argue that fear isn’t something to be avoided. It’s actually a good thing! I labeled my own fear a “fearmonster”, and then turned it into a “fearfriend”.
In chapter 2, you’ll hear a case for focusing on your belayer and your own clipping for a few sessions. See, if your belayer didn’t know how to belay, you wouldn’t want to climb with them, so we’ll assume that your belayer, while adequately skilled at their task, is not an expert. We’ll make them an expert. (Oh, and you’ll become a better climber by paying attention to your own clipping!)
This four exercises you and your climbing partner can start doing immediately.
Not only do you get the book, but I’ll shortly send you an outline of the entire book, and you’ll be able to edit/make suggestions/ask questions (sort of like group-editing a big google document) and you’ll be shaping what is in the book as I write it.
Pretty cool, huh? What are you waiting for! Get started here:
